A truly amazing framed photo. The frame is amazing & from WW1 era. It is wood & painted, molded gesso. Has an eagle on top & underneath eagle it says USA. There are flags on either side of frame & laurel wreath on bottom of frame. It measures 22.5" in height & 17" in width. There are a few dings & nicks to frame...but it is glorious. The photo is of Colonel Joseph Lynch from New England. He was killed in the war leaving his wife & 5 children behind. His wife Mary was expecting their 6th child & this picture is of Joseph when he was an infant. She was distraught over the loss of her husband....that she replaced his infantry photo with a photo from his childhood. A truly touching story that we had obtained from one of their descendants journals.
