This vintage Seiko is a rare historical piece produced by Daini Seikosha, the Tokyo-based factory that later became the birthplace of King Seiko. The case interior is stamped “DAINI SEIKOSHA CO., LTD. JAPAN”, confirming it was manufactured in the original Kameido factory during the 1960s.

Inside is the beautifully made Seiko Cal. 1520A, a 17-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement created by Daini before the King Seiko name became standardized. These early Daini rectangular movements were crafted in small quantities and were often reserved for Japan-market women’s dress models.
